Best of 2014

Here are my top 10 favorite images from 2014, not counting portraits.  They are here in no particular order:

Sedona Arizona, Cathedral Rock as viewed through the cypress tree in the foreground.

I caught this youngster ignoring the posted signs: Do not feed the horses.

At the Grand Canyon I liked how these clouds mimicked the path the Colorado River traced through the rocks.

Also from the Grand Canyon with the Northern rim lit by the setting sun.

Sunrise at the boneyard, Edisto Island, SC

The Verde Valley in Northern Arizona.

Gatlinburg Tennessee at night.  A 30 second exposure.

At Magnolia Plantation near Charleston SC.

These Brahmas all lined up for me when I set up my tripod in Cottonwood Alabama.  Perhaps the easiest family portrait I took this year.

Bhahmas' SerenadeBhahmas' Serenade

Near Livingston Texas on a foggy and windy summer morning.

Lovely photographs, Tom! Do you go on photo shoots with other photographers? Or are all these trips you have taken with your wife now you are a retired teacher? Have you entered any competitions? Do you have a portrait photography studio now that you aren't teaching?

They are all beautiful but my favorite is the one from Edisto Island, SC I think I could look at it all day!

I loved the little trip, Tom. Lovely subjects--the Brahmas set a new standard for family portraits! Thanks for sharing.

These are breathtaking, what we hope to see visiting these exact spots, but never see it as your lens did. What a Chamber of Commerce wants for their welcoming post card. The ones a photographer spends a lifetime looking for but never finds. They are stunning, visual displays that God grants only to the eyes of someone special. Someone like you.
